Frequently Asked Questions

As previously mentioned, all in-depth info is available in the terms of service.

  • We do not enforce strict time limits. Instead, we shoot until we have captured a complete set of solo and group portraits for everyone.

    • Factors such as group size, wind, driving to second locations, and lines at campus landmarks will affect the total duration.

    • The main strict stops to a session are the loss of daylight or a pre-scheduled back-to-back booking, which we will communicate in advance. We always try to leave plenty of time.

    • For reference, typical session lengths may look like:

      • Campus Only:

        • 1 Grad: 30 Min. - 1 Hr.

        • Small Groups (2–4): 1 - 1.5 Hrs.

        • Large Groups (5+): 1.5 - 2.5 Hrs.

      • Extended Session (2 Driving Locations):

        • 1 Grad: 1 - 1.5 Hr.

        • Small Groups (2–4): 1.5 - 2.5 Hrs.

        • Large Groups (5+): 2.5+ Hrs.

Above time ranges are for reference only and are not guaranteed ranges. If there is minimal wind or lines on campus, sessions can sometimes be twice as fast. I have had 8 person groups at two locations that go faster than solos at one.

  • We do not set a limit. You will receive every "keeper" from the session.

Our editing process involves removing blinks, duplicates or near duplicates, missed moments, and out-of-focus shots, but we deliver everything else.

    Typical delivery ranges are:

    Campus Only:

    • 1 Grad: 40 – 80 photos

    • Small Groups (2–4): 80 – 160 photos

    • Large Groups (5+): 160+ photos

    Extended Session (2 Driving Locations):

    • 1 Grad: 50 – 125 photos

    • Small Groups (2–4): 125 – 250 photos

    • Large Groups (5+): 250+ photos

Above estimates are for reference only and are not guaranteed ranges. These numbers are based on prior bookings and have outliers on the lower and higher end.

  • We monitor the forecast closely leading up to your session. Weather is unpredictable, we handle this in two ways:

    • Early Call: If the forecast shows heavy rain or high winds, we aim to reschedule 4–24 hours in advance. We prefer to make this decision before you invest time and money into hair, makeup, and getting dressed.

    • Game-Time Decision: If the weather is marginal (overcast, light drizzle, or medium winds) but you wish to proceed, we can mutually agree to move forward. However, please note:

      • Stopping Early: If rain or wind forces us to stop before we have completed the majority of your session, we will simply pause the clock and finish the remainder of your shoot on a later date at no additional cost (subject to photographer availability on campus).

      • Weather Satisfaction Guarantee: If we mutually agree to shoot in marginal weather and the conditions negatively impact the final photos, we offer a complimentary mini-reshoot on a later date (when we are already on campus) to ensure you get a few key portraits you love.

      • Second Location Refund: If you booked an Extended Session (2 driving locations, e.g. UPenn + Art Museum) and we are unable to shoot at the second location due to weather upon arrival, the 25% extended session surcharge will be refunded.

  • Please see our latest pricing on the terms of service page.

  • Yes.

    • If bringing confetti, please bring biodegradable confetti only. Most campuses (especially UPenn and Temple) are strict about littering, and we want to be respectful of the grounds crew.

    • If bringing champagne, a corked bottle is recommended for spraying. We will typically do these near the end of the session. Also, don’t forget your bottles at home as many do.

In our experience, champagne photos typically turn out better than confetti.

  • Yes, but we keep it minimal and natural.

To ensure fast turnaround times during peak season, we focus primarily on vibrant colors and lighting. We will address distracting flyaway hairs or background figures only if they can be removed easily without ruining the image.

    • What IS Included: Color correction, lighting adjustments, cropping, and simple removal of distractions (if they don't compromise the image quality).

    • What is NOT Included: Removing braces, ironing wrinkled clothes in Photoshop, or complex edits that require heavy digital manipulation.

    • Custom Requests: If you’d like to print a photo and/or need extensive retouching (e.g. removing large crowds or complex hair fixes), we are happy to do so after peak season at an hourly rate.

    • Tip: Please iron your gown/dress beforehand and bring a mirror/brush for touch-ups if needed.

  • Yes. Most graduates swap between Gown vs. Gown and Hat vs. No Gown and so on.

If you would like to fully change outfits (e.g. nurse scrubs), please keep in mind that changing time cuts into shooting time.

We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes between locations and swapping into heels/dress shoes only when we are ready to shoot.
