Graduation Photography
AGREEMENT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES Between: TRF Ventures LLC d/b/a Funkhouser Films ("Photographer") And: The Client
Session Details
All sessions include both solo and group shots for all graduates, regardless of group size.
Unlike many other photographers, three valuable reasons to book with us are:
We do not limit the number of final photos delivered; see FAQ.
We do not charge extra for access to additional photos; see FAQ.
We do not set strict time caps that aren’t flexible; see FAQ.
Wind, campus lines, daylight, additional bookings, and group size are factors affecting session length. We will discuss timing specifics ahead of the session.
If you wish to use multiple driving locations, please inform us in advance to discuss logistics and see pricing impacts in “Multiple Driving Locations” section below.
All sessions are limited due to demand, but in full transparency:
Sunset sessions are the most in-demand and will be especially limited.
Depending on the campus, morning sessions are the next-best available for lighting.
Depending on the campus, mid-day sessions are the third option. On days with minimal cloud coverage, we may have harsher lighting and busier backgrounds.
Pricing by Group Size
Our pricing structure incentivizes larger groups by discounting per person rates over 50%.
All rates are subject to Philadelphia Sales Tax.
8 or More: $165 per person
7 People: $175 per person
6 People: $185 per person
5 People: $200 per person
4 People: $225 per person
3 People: $250 per person
2 People: $275 per person
1 Person: $350
Mini: Inquire for info. ~15min on a day where I’m on your campus already.
Discounts
Rates may increase as scheduling occurs, but booking now locks in your early discounted price.
In the opposite scenario, if standard rates for groups are lowered after you book, we will adjust your final balance to match the lower rate, ensuring groups have fair treatment.
Peak booking season occurs in April and May. To accommodate schedules after the rush, any session taking place after late May will receive a 15% discount.
TRF Ventures LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to apply discounts to the final invoice in the event of unique circumstances. Please note that these adjustments are a courtesy, not a policy guarantee.
Turnaround Time
If your session is at least 72 hours before your graduation date, your edited photos will be delivered in time. If your graduation date is within the 72 hour window, please flag to me.
Editing includes all viable images (out of focus, blinks, windy hair, etc. photos are deleted).
Multiple Driving Locations
Walking between multiple locations on campus is included in the base rate.
Sessions requiring driving to a second major location (e.g., Temple + Art Museum, UPenn + City Hall) require an 'Extended Session' booking, which incurs a 25% surcharge to cover travel time and additional shooting.
Weather Contingency: If we arrive at the 2nd location and mutually agree to cancel due to weather before photos are taken, the 25% surcharge will be refunded. If shooting commences, the fee applies regardless of outcome.
If a location requires parking or entry payment above the norm (e.g. Trader Joe’s rooftop garage in Center City for $35), the amount will be added to the final invoice (even if the shoot is cancelled shortly after arrival). Photographer covers all normal street parking.
Retainer & Payment
A 35% retainer is required to secure your booking. This retainer is non-refundable (unless cancelled 30+ days in advance). This fee compensates the Photographer for reserving the date and turning away other business.
The remaining balance is due 48 hours ahead of your graduation date, or whenever photos are completed and ready for delivery.
Photos will not be delivered until all group members have paid in full.
If fewer or more people attend than originally booked, rates will be adjusted accordingly.
Scheduling & Rescheduling Policy
If inclement weather occurs on your booked date, you may reschedule before your graduation, subject to availability.
If no rescheduling slots are available before graduation, you may choose to:
Reschedule after graduation with a 15% discount.
Cancel and forfeit the retainer.
We want you to love your photos. If we mutually agree to proceed with a session despite marginal weather (e.g., high wind, light rain) and the conditions negatively impact the final gallery, complimentary or heavily discounted reshoots are offered to capture a few key portraits.
Subject to availability and typically scheduled during a time block when the Photographer is already on your campus.
If the contract has been signed and retainer paid and you cancel 30 days or more before the session, the retainer will be fully refunded.
Group Responsibility Clause
The individual signing this contract agrees to represent all participants in the session. By signing, they confirm that all members of the group have reviewed and agreed to the terms outlined in this contract. The signing Client accepts full financial responsibility for the total balance. If other group members fail to pay their share, the signing Client is liable for the remaining amount before photos are delivered.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Session start times are fixed. Late arrivals will result in reduced shooting time.
If Client is 30+ minutes late but remains in contact, a 10% late fee will be added to the final balance.
If Client is 30+ minutes late and unresponsive, the session is considered a cancellation and the retainer is forfeited.
If they wish to reschedule after a no-show no-contact, a 20% rescheduling fee applies.
Image Rights & Usage
Photographer retains legal copyright. Client grants Photographer an irrevocable license to use images for portfolio, website, and social media marketing.
If the photographer wishes to use images in paid advertisements, they will first request client permission.
Clients may edit and print their photos freely.

While clients hold the rights to print their own photos, we partner with a trusted local shop to produce professional-grade keepsakes for those who want the best quality without the hassle.
Professional-grade prints in various sizes and finishes.
Custom matting and framing options.
Gallery-wrapped canvases.

Please contact us directly for a full catalog and pricing.
Liability Waiver
TRF Ventures LLC (and its agents/employees) is not liable for any injuries or incidents that occur during the session, including but not limited to slips, falls, or accidents in public spaces or on campus property.
Lost or Corrupted Files Clause
In the extremely rare event of equipment failure, memory card corruption, or theft preventing delivery of images, the Client's remedy is limited to either:
A full refund, if the Client chooses not to reschedule; OR
A reschedule of the session with 50% of the original price refunded.
Additional Terms
In the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances preventing the photographer from attending, rescheduling options will be provided.
If the photographer is unable to reschedule at all due to unforeseen circumstances, the retainer will be refunded.
By booking a session, the client agrees to these terms.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We do not enforce strict time limits. Instead, we shoot until we have captured a complete set of solo and group portraits for everyone.
Factors such as group size, wind, driving to second locations, and lines at campus landmarks will affect the total duration.
The main strict stops to a session are the loss of daylight or a pre-scheduled back-to-back booking, which we will communicate in advance. We always try to leave plenty of time.
For reference, typical session lengths may look like:
Campus Only:
1 Grad: 30 Min. - 1 Hr.
Small Groups (2–4): 1 - 1.5 Hrs.
Large Groups (5+): 1.5 - 2.5 Hrs.
Extended Session (2 Driving Locations):
1 Grad: 1 - 1.5 Hr.
Small Groups (2–4): 1.5 - 2.5 Hrs.
Large Groups (5+): 2.5+ Hrs.
Above time ranges are for reference only and are not guaranteed ranges. If there is minimal wind or lines on campus, sessions can sometimes be twice as fast. I have had 8 person groups at two locations that go faster than solos at one.
-
We do not set a limit. You will receive every "keeper" from the session.
Our editing process involves removing blinks, duplicates or near duplicates, missed moments, and out-of-focus shots, but we deliver everything else.
Typical delivery ranges are:
Campus Only:
1 Grad: 40 – 80 photos
Small Groups (2–4): 80 – 160 photos
Large Groups (5+): 160+ photos
Extended Session (2 Driving Locations):
1 Grad: 50 – 125 photos
Small Groups (2–4): 125 – 250 photos
Large Groups (5+): 250+ photos
Above estimates are for reference only and are not guaranteed ranges. These numbers are based on prior bookings and have outliers on the lower and higher end.

We monitor the forecast closely leading up to your session. Weather is unpredictable, we handle this in two ways:
Early Call: If the forecast shows heavy rain or high winds, we aim to reschedule 4–24 hours in advance. We prefer to make this decision before you invest time and money into hair, makeup, and getting dressed.
Game-Time Decision: If the weather is marginal (overcast, light drizzle, or medium winds) but you wish to proceed, we can mutually agree to move forward. However, please note:
Stopping Early: If rain or wind forces us to stop before we have completed the majority of your session, we will simply pause the clock and finish the remainder of your shoot on a later date at no additional cost (subject to photographer availability on campus).
Weather Satisfaction Guarantee: If we mutually agree to shoot in marginal weather and the conditions negatively impact the final photos, we offer a complimentary mini-reshoot on a later date (when we are already on campus) to ensure you get a few key portraits you love.
Second Location Refund: If you booked an Extended Session (2 driving locations, e.g. UPenn + Art Museum) and we are unable to shoot at the second location due to weather upon arrival, the 25% extended session surcharge will be refunded.

Yes.
If bringing confetti, please bring biodegradable confetti only. Most campuses (especially UPenn and Temple) are strict about littering, and we want to be respectful of the grounds crew.
If bringing champagne, a corked bottle is recommended for spraying. We will typically do these near the end of the session. Also, don’t forget your bottles at home as many do.
In our experience, champagne photos typically turn out better than confetti.
-
Yes, but we keep it minimal and natural.
To ensure fast turnaround times during peak season, we focus primarily on vibrant colors and lighting. We will address distracting flyaway hairs or background figures only if they can be removed easily without ruining the image.
What IS Included: Color correction, lighting adjustments, cropping, and simple removal of distractions (if they don't compromise the image quality).
What is NOT Included: Removing braces, ironing wrinkled clothes in Photoshop, or complex edits that require heavy digital manipulation.
Custom Requests: If you’d like to print a photo and/or need extensive retouching (e.g. removing large crowds or complex hair fixes), we are happy to do so after peak season at an hourly rate.
Tip: Please iron your gown/dress beforehand and bring a mirror/brush for touch-ups if needed.
-
Yes. Most graduates swap between Gown vs. Gown and Hat vs. No Gown and so on.
If you would like to fully change outfits (e.g. nurse scrubs), please keep in mind that changing time cuts into shooting time.
We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes between locations and swapping into heels/dress shoes only when we are ready to shoot.
-
Yes. While Temple, UPenn, and Villanova are our most frequent locations, we have also booked sessions for La Salle, Gwynedd Mercy, Delaware Law, West Chester, and more.
If we haven’t shot at your campus yet (like Drexel), we will simply collaborate with you beforehand to map out the spots you prefer to capture.
